A 29-year-old man was fatally shot fighting off a gunman trying to rob him in a Bronx deli, police said Monday
Stefon Barnes was confronted about 4:20 a.m. Sunday inside Tremont Gourmet Deli in East Tremont, police said.
The gunman tried to rob Barnes, sparking a struggle in the deli on on E. Tremont Ave. near Marmion Ave. during which the victim was shot in the right leg.
