Red Bull boss Helmut Marko has claimed Max Verstappen could win the championship within just two or three races. Marko said: “The good thing is we don’t have to win every race. If we see we can’t win, okay, we go for points.“There are still eight races to go. I believe we have to win two or three more to be safe in the Championship.” Verstappen could win the title as early as the Singapore Grand Prix if he wins the next three races and Perez and Leclerc fail to score.The Red Bull star could also claim his second crown in Japan if he wins the next four races with Perez second and Leclerc third. The reigning champion clinched his ninth win of the campaign on Sunday while Leclerc struggled.The Ferrari star looked on course to finish P5 before a time penalty issued after the race saw him demoted to sixth. Verstappen also tried to lower expectations after his win in Spa despite his comfortable position at this stage of the season.He commented: “Now we need to keep on working hard and focus on each race ahead of us. We know that we have to finish every race, we don’t need to win every race but we want to as a team. Let’s see what we can do in Zandvoort.”
